Vang systems with boom support and gas spring
A vang or kick helps you trim the mainsail easier. For example, a vang prevents the boom from being raised while sailing. This keeps the mainsail shape flat and enables more precise trimming. Rodkicker systems are also designed to make sailing and reefing easier. A Rodkicker prevents the boom from falling into the cockpit or on the spray hood. Seldén's Rodkickers are equipped with a gas spring that can hold the boom upright.
