2 - Genoa halyard
Trim to win! A genoa or jib halyard should have a low elongation and excellent performance in clutches. This is required for properly trimming your sail: when the wind increases, the sail should stay flat. We recommend a rope with a core made from superfibre (Dyneema® or Stirotex®). Make sure you use the right diameter. Increasing the diameter will increase the performance in the clutch.
Our expertise is to optimize ropes by tapering, extra covers or other rope splicing techniques. Contact us if you like our advice on sailing ropes for regatta's.
